Career Trial for Employers
Assess jobseekers' job fit through a short-term trial before offering employment
The Career Trial (CT) Programme will end after 31 May 2025. Please take note of the following cut-off dates for CT:
Last day for companies to apply for new CT positions: 15 Feb 2025
Last day for companies to send new CT invites to jobseekers: 1 Apr 2025
Last day for jobseekers to submit jobseeker application (via acceptance of CT invite): 15 Apr 2025
Last day for approved CT jobseekers to commence CT: 31 May 2025 or within 1 month from jobseeker application approval (whichever is earlier)

Career Trial is part of the suite of career services offered by Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Employment and Employability Institute (NTUC’s e2i).

Career Trial aims to encourage jobseekers and host companies who are unsure about the job fit to go through a short-term trial before considering formal employment. It is targeted at full-time jobs paying at least $1,500/month and part-time jobs paying at least $750/month.

Your company must be:

  • legally registered or incorporated in Singapore, with a Unique Entity Number (UEN) registered with ACRA;
  • actively hiring for full-time jobs paying at least $1,500/month, and/or part-time jobs paying at least $750/month; and
  • be able to offer employment to suitable Jobseekers on permanent terms or on contract terms that are no less than one (1) year after completion of Career Trial.

Please note that the last day for companies to apply for new Career Trial positions is 15 Feb 2025.

You may follow the following steps:

  1. Post the hiring position on the MyCareersFuture (MCF) portal, and note down the MCF ID.
  2. Go to Career Trial portal and click on “Click Here to Apply” button.
    Note: You must be assigned with the “WSG G2B Employer Portal” e-service and the “G2B Employer” role in Corppass in order to apply as a Host Company for Career Trial. You can click here to find out who is your organisation’s Corppass Admin.
  3. Fill up the web application form to submit your application and include the MCF ID.

Note: Please note that WSG does not endorse and is not liable for any services rendered by any company which markets and charges consultancy fees in relation to any Career Trial application or other submissions.

 


 You may follow the following steps:

  1. Accept your jobseeker’s MyCareersFuture application on MyCareersFuture (MCF) portal, by setting the status to “Hired"1.
  2. Go to Career Trial portal and click on “My Applications” button.
  3. Under the relevant Career Trial position, click on “Send or Withdraw Invitations” button and select jobseeker to send Career Trial invite. Please be reminded that the last day for companies to send new Career Trial invites to jobseekers is 1 Apr 2025.
  4. Inform the jobseeker that they should submit the Career Trial jobseeker application by 15 Apr 2025.
  5. Commence Career Trial by 31 May 2025, after receiving a written approval from WSG / NTUC's e2i.

1 This does not mean that host company is obliged to offer employment to the jobseeker after the completion of Career Trial. Employment should only be offered if the Career Trial jobseeker is deemed to be suitable for the job role. Host companies are required to inform jobseekers whether he/she is offered employment, within five working days after completion of Career Trial.
